June 23 - Nothing Remains Constant

Well Harvey is really irritating me now. My port was canceled for tomorrow due to the low grade fevers I've been experiencing and instead tomorrow I need to go for an abdominal CT scan to be sure there are no abscesses. Monday I will have PICC line installed instead and do my first radiation --- providing the other scans and another blood test come back okay. I hate you Harvey. Drop Dead. Everyone else, Be well.     So just the radiation is starting? What about Chemo?

    Radiation AND chemo will still start on Monday but because of the fevers a PICC line has to be put in that goes directly into the artery in my arm to my heart. They will do that Monday and I will have chemo infused for 96 hours straight while at home and rad treatments once a day Mon-Fri. An oncology nurse will come to the hosue to remove the tank and needle until next time...had to go for hlood tests and another CT scan to see if anything changed since last week causing these fevers. They are afraid because the Port is so invasive and I have a fever, it could cause major complications.     Harvey is just a little annoyance..... kinda like a husband.... ya know a real pain in the ass. Not really good for much but just keeps sticking around.... we try hard to get rid of them but they have this hold onto us.... so slowly we start to add arsenic to their coffee every morning (chemo) and we also try to pin them down to try to understand them (radiation) it hurts the good cells (women) and the cancer cells (men), and sometimes we live learn to live with them and sometimes we have to kick some major f ing ass along the way....BUT WE ALWAYS WIN IN THE END... WE ARE WOMEN...NOTHING WILL STOP US..... SO LOOK DOWN AT YOUR VAGINA.... YES THATS RIGHT YOU ARE A FEMALE AND NOW SMILE....YOUR A WINNER!!!!!!! F U HARVEY!!!!

    I think we should start a Cheerleading club...and the rallying cry should be "Harvey is Toast" with his replacement will be NED (no evidence of disease). Love you all, Be well, Marilyne
